Nutrition Planning

Nutrition isn’t one size fits all. And you’ve likely experienced that; keto was overly restrictive, paleo felt too expensive, and gluten’s in too many things to try and completely avoid it. We understand you. We understand the nuances and the large degree of individualization that each person needs for their nutrition plan. That’s why we partner with Registered Dietitians and health coaches, to help develop a plan that’s unique to your needs and your situation. And we have plans that fit any dietary/allergen need: vegan, low-carb, Celiac, lactose intolerant, etc.

Nutrition is the cornerstone of any health practice. The saying “Food as Medicine” resonates quite deeply with us. We also aren’t big fans of crash diets or overly restrictive diets. It is our belief that by focusing on what foods to include with your nutrition, you can put yourself in the optimal mental state to accomplish your health goals.

Sleep Hygiene Practices

It might be one of the most blanket pieces of health advice: “You need to sleep eight hours.” Just because you’re in bed for eight hours, doesn’t mean you're getting the sleep that’s optimal for your body. That statement fails to recognize several things, including sleep quality (REM, deep, light, etc), sleep architecture (do you wake in the middle of the night), and sleep hygiene practices (your pre-bed and morning routines). We work with people to address all three. And it has so much more to do with than just Melatonin and Magnesium.

Having proper sleep is the best “hack” that exists to improve your fitness levels, mental fortitude, and overall longevity. Oftentimes, we’re making minor tweaks to people’s sleep routines, but minor enough to profoundly impact your sleep quality and architecture. Can you think of a better way to start the day than waking up feeling fully restored?

Physical Exercise

Just like nutrition, exercise isn’t a blanket approach. How much weight-lifting should you be doing? Do you need to stretch daily? How many times per day? Is it really paramount for you to run in order to improve your health? These are the types of questions we help people unpack when it comes to their movement habits (our preferred term for “exercise.”) It’s not always about exercising more, many times, it’s about finding the right mix of exercise intensities, durations, and types for your body.

We’ve supported those from nearly every fitness endeavor: marathon runners, cyclists, tennis players, Crossfitters, physique competitors, to someone who’s never stepped foot in a gym. If exercise has always been a struggle due to range of motion issues or not knowing what exercises to do or what programs to follow, we have resources to help you find your path. Movement is medicine.
